On a hot muggy night in Baton Rouge, Southern and Prairie View met for a SWAC conference game. For three quarter PV seemed to have victory in sight leading by three touchdowns. Finally the Jags came roaring back sending the game to overtime. The Jags were victorious 62 to 59. The Southern 1993 National Championship team was honored prior to the game.
