The Bayou Classic - Southern vs Grambling : On Saturday, November 24, 2007 the Southern Jaguars played the Grambling Tigers in the Louisiana Superdome. This game featured two of the best offenses in the SWAC. A tough defensive contest was won by Southern 22 to 13.

Also featured in a pre-game dance routine were the Hall twins.

SWACFEST : The Birmingham SWAC Alumni Association presents SWACFEST its 'Annual Family and Friends Day'. The event was held at Willie Mays Park in Fairfield. The day really ended up being a lot of fun. Most of the SWAC schools were represented even though they are not in the pictures. Now the softball game was truly funny - plenty of errors several home runs. Many aching bodies on Monday morning. The good thing about the event everyone survived.

SWAC Bowling Championship Tournament & Banquet : The SWAC Bowling Championship was held in Bessemer, Alabama at the Holiday Bowl Fun Center on February 23 - 25. The Banquet hall next door was the site for the SWAC Championship Bowling Tournanment Banquet. The championship match was held on Sunday between Jackson State and Alabama A&M.
